About

Hi, I'm Meagan — the person behind Meg Grows Plants.

What started as a backyard garden in Charlotte, NC (hello, Zone 8a) turned into a full-time obsession with growing, preserving, and cooking real food. These days I share that journey across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and my Substack — and co-host the Garden Girls Podcast, where we talk plant fails, harvest wins, and everything in between.

I've got a background in cellular and molecular biology, which mostly just means I ask why a lot when something in the garden goes sideways — and I love passing along what I learn.

This shop is an extension of that: the planting calendars I actually use to plan my own garden, guides built from what's worked (and what hasn't) in my own beds, and a few things to wear while you're out there getting your hands dirty. Everything here is designed to make growing your own food feel a little more doable, season after season.

Thanks for being here — I hope something in this shop helps your garden along.
